Welcome to The Countdown Podcast!
Running for 7 years, The Countdown: Movie and TV reviews is an indie podcast out of Perth, Australia, consisting of two best friends who each week count down a movie or television-related list, while trying to discredit the other guy’s efforts.
This leads to much banter, profuse profanity, and many sexual innuendos, so this is definitely a NSFW (or children) show.
Hosts Paul and Wayne also offer weekly reviews about the latest and (sometimes) greatest releases, and are almost always joined by the unofficial third co-host - and most popular member of the show - The Soundboard! (Much to Wayne’s annoyance, frustration and chagrin…)
Currently ranked in the top 1% of shows in the world according to Listen Notes, the biggest podcast search engine, The Countdown aims to offer down-to-earth, reliable reviews as well as entertain with many laughs.
So check out the links above or below to take you through everything Countdown related, including some 500 episodes, a merch store, the Patreon page and links to all our socials - including the Facebook Listener Community, which is the ONLY place where you can vote every week regarding who has the superior list and give your feedback on the topics being covered!
About the Hosts

Wayne (the other one) is all about the feels with how he approaches his reviews. He worries little about logical or sequence, framing most everything from the way he felt when viewing something. His sense of humour is about as wet as they come, and his quick wit is matched only by his foul mouth. He also has one of the most distinct laughs in all of podcasting. You’ve been warned.
The Soundboard (which Paul insists on using but Wayne hates) tends to side with Paul (duh) who needs all the help he can get in defending against Wayne’s expletive riddled rants. This may or may not be because Paul operates The Soundboard during recording, but that’s really up to you, the listener, to decide …
